Focus is an essential part of a healthy, happy joy-filled life. "Focus with your eyes, focus with your mind, and focus with your body," a teacher once said. It illustrated the connection between what we see, think, and do. When applied to the concept of experiencing joy, taking a moment to focus with your eyes, your mind, and your body can have amazing results in your life. Sunlight streaming in, my favorite flowers, any flower by the way, in a vase, a steaming cup of tea in my hand and sitting it on a table beside to my most comfortable chair. Ahhhh...
The warmth of the cup in my hands, warming me on the inside and out. Let's not forget the book, my favorite sci-fi or fantasy book dog eared and calling my name. My eyes take in each strategically placed item, I recognize the intention behind the details, and I am having a positive reaction.
Surrounding ourselves with things that bring us joy kickstarts the joy experience.
When the crew arrives, I'm recharged and ready to love them to pieces.

This moment, all started with my visual experience. I established it with care and intention. I filled it with things that feed my soul, items that reflect the beauty and creativity of nature, the order of the universe and a memory of a good day with my family....
